This 10" thick mattress will give you all the comfort and support you would expect from a traditional spring mattress, but without the pressure points that spring mattresses create. This will ensure you sleep better than you ever thought possible on the road. The Bamboo cover is a new fabric made from hard stem of the Bamboo plants into a fabric that is softer than cotton, yet even more durable. By using the Bamboo fabric, we created a 2" pillow top for our memory foam mattress, which gives you a more plush, supportive feel. You will sleep better and wake up more alert and focused.

The fabric used to make The Big Dawg mattress cover is produced utilizing natural, additive-free bamboo fiber extracted directly from bamboo culms (culms are the same as stems). Long known as an eco-friendly and quickly renewable resource, bamboo fiber is naturally anti-bacterial and deodorizing and has unique stretch and recovery characteristics. Our knitted, Big Dawg truck mattress cover breathes, absorbs and evaporates moisture with amazing efficiency and is incredibly soft to touch. It works to wick away moisture and prevent heat build-up from the memory foam inside, which helps you sleep cooler.

The cover has a zipper which makes it convenient for removal and cleaning. The high strength Bamboo fabric, with its soft luster and silky feel, provides a comfortable, fresh sleeping environment-naturally. All covers meet the new Federal Standard 16 C.F.R. Part 1633, effective July 1, 2007.

Pluracol® Polyols

BASF utilizes Dynamic Mechanical Analysis to target the properties and features of Pluracel V^x™ foam. With this tool, Pluracel V^x™ foam formulations can be adjusted to move the glass transition temperature, and target a specific temperature range for visco-elasticity. Also, we analyze the height and breadth of the curve as a means of targeting recovery rates and pressure relief qualities. Pluracel V^x™ foam represents state-of-the-art slow recovery foam technology targeted at the luxury bedding and specialty cushioning segments. BASF helps make the processing easier and helps correctly target properties in the manufacture of visco-elastic foams. BASF makes memory foam better.

High Resiliency Support Foam
The foam under the memory foam is just as important as the memory foam itself. Once you have sunk down into the memory foam and it has conformed to your body, you need good base foam to catch your bones. We use "high resilience" base foam that is similar to the foam in a car seat. It is durable yet comfortable and supportive. 

A lot of memory foam mattress companies cut corners and use low quality base foam to increase their profit. Many of the low price mattresses you see on the market have inferior quality base foam under the memory foam.

SleepDog mattresses use only High Resiliency (HR) base foam with a 2.8 density and a 45 ILD. In this industry, most manufacturers will consider our base foam "overkill" in the quality department. We decided to pay more and charge less for a mattress that we know will last and provide superior support for your body.

The foam is examined and put through a series of scientific tests -- to be sure it meets the strict voluntary standards of the CertiPUR-US program.
