The Morrow Rest Area serves both northbound and southbound travelers of Interstate 71. This rest area offers truck parking only, making it a fantastic option for truck drivers traveling through Harmony Township/Mt. Gilead area. Both northbound and southbound stops have 18 truck parking spaces available, so you are sure to find a spot if you need one. This is the only Ohio DOT monitored truck only rest stop. The truck parking is the only amenity of this rest area, making it a simple, straightforward space for truck drivers only to park and go as needed. Some of the other stops in the guide may be a better option if you are looking for a rest area with more amenities to recharge and refuel yourself.
Delaware Rest Area
The Delaware Rest Area also serves both northbound and southbound travelers of I-71. The northbound rest area is located at mile 127.55 and offers 28 car parking spots, 13 truck parking spots, vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water. The southbound rest area is located at mile 129 and offers 33 car parking spots, 12 truck parking spots, vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water.
Allen Rest Area
The Allen Rest Area serves both eastbound and westbound travelers of US 30. The westbound rest area is located at mile 43.07 and offers 29 car parking spots, 10 truck parking spots, vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water. The eastbound rest area is located at mile 42.79 and has the same parking and amenities as the westbound stop.
Union Rest Area
The Union Rest Area serves both northbound and southbound travelers of US 33. The northbound rest area is located at mile 97.8 and offers 27 car parking spaces, 10 truck parking spaces, vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water. The southbound rest area is located at mile 97.94 and offers the same parking availability and amenities as the northbound stop.
Madison Rest Area
The Madison Rest Area is a large rest area with ample truck and car parking. Truck and RV drivers should especially take note of the parking available at this rest area. The Madison Rest Area serves both eastbound and westbound travelers of Interstate 70. The westbound rest area is located at mile 70.67 and offers 47 car parking spots, 20 truck parking spots, vending machines, and drinking water. The eastbound rest area is located at mile 70.67 and offers 43 car parking spots, 20 truck parking spots, vending machines, and drinking water.
Preble Rest Area
The Preble Rest Area is located on the border of Ohio and Indiana and serves eastbound travelers of I-70. This rest area is also a welcome center that has many amenities including tourist information, vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water. What makes this stop most notable is the significant amount of parking. The Preble Rest Area has 49 car parking spots and 59 truck parking spots. This rest area offers the most parking for both cars and trucks of any other rest area on this guide.
Scioto Rest Area
The Scioto Rest Area is another great rest area for travelers coming in or out of Ohio. Located on the border of Ohio and Kentucky, this rest area is located at mile 15.88 and serves southbound travelers of US 23. This rest area offers tourist information in addition to vending machines, restrooms, and drinking water. This rest area is very similar to the Preble Rest Area, only with slightly less parking. This rest area offers 52 car parking spots and 14 truck parking spots.
